Adventures in Cyberspace - This wonderful site, written by our own Linda Foote, teaches students to navigate the web safely. It highlights some wonderful sites for kids, teaches students how to search safely and efficiently cite information that they take as their research. It also teaches them to evaluate the point of view of a site. THIS IS A MUST DO FOR ALL PUSD STUDENTS. A student activity that is based on Adventure in Cyberspace has questions and graphic organizers for students to do as they go through Linda's site.
Orientation to the Internet - 6th grade orientation based on Adventures in Cyberspace (see above) This student activity is a shorter version of the one linked above. It is part of the librarary/learning resource center orientation for all incoming 6th graders at some middle schools.
