Dear Black
Mountain Middle School Parents,
I am very pleased
to let you know that Black Mountain Middle School will resume its
regular schedule of classes on Thursday, November 20.
Although we had extensive damage to 28 out of 40 classrooms
in the back east and south area, through the hard work and
cooperation of our Black Mountain staff and district personnel, we
will be able to reconfigure facilities to permit all classes to be
in session tomorrow. Some
of our sixth grade students will be on the Sunset Hills campus for
classes. All students
will have their scheduled lunch periods on the Black Mountain
campus. When students
come to school on Thursday, a listing of class locations will be
posted on the 700 building wall by the counseling office.
The Breakfast of
Champions is being postponed. Orchestra
will continue as scheduled. Volleyball is cancelled for the
remainder of the week. Our
after-school activities program (YMCA) will operate as normal.
Thank you for
your support today. Please continue to check our web site at www.powayusd.com
for updated information. We
sent out a PUSD e-bulletin alert earlier today to parents who have
current e-mail addresses on file.
We appreciate
your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Miguel Carrillo,
Ed.D.
Principal
